It’s completely half serious and an action parody, but it’s all heart.  It also follows my tradition of completing a short/comical AMV after a big project. I nearly started this before Wish Again, but pushed it to the back burner for later.  With it being in mind for so long, the timeline was already in my head.  However, finding the exact scene I envisioned was the longest part – especially when most of them are 5 seconds or less in length.  Inspiration for quick and simple AMVs are easily found by watching old Doki Doki and More Than Toast releases.

I like the balance of this video; it's not as extreme as some of the cute-anime-hard-music examples that simply try to use polar combinations. Instead it seems more earnest, yet not TOO earnest.  Somehow it's more mature and has better staying power I think, and yet is outrageously fun at the same time. ^_^

I decided to make this AMV for a fellow co-worker who continuously watched my previous release of “Remember Me.” After a few sittings into the project, I found this project to be more challenging than my previous releases.  Premiere is not made for special effects… nor does it forgive with motion and zooming. This is why I created the framework within Premiere and worked on it exclusively with AE.  Long story short, I created this video a total of three or four times before releasing the final product and ensured the quality with nothing but Huffyuv compression.

After releasing my first AE video, it's amazing as an editor when you can *finally* create the visions seen only in your head.  The transformation from Premiere to After Effects was (almost) worth the wait.  Nearly each scene was hand crafted and color corrected with my original concept one year ago.

Held back as a small black op video attempt by Sephiroth X and Ice Angel. Word of Sephiroth X's recreation of Ice Angels original concept hit the DZX Productions members whilst Sephiroth X himself slaved for just over 29 hours, only stopping for 5 hours of sleep, to basically start and release this video before a deadline for an AMV competition. Outside of the unprecedented grinding dedication Sephiroth X put into this video, another thing that makes it very distinct was its audio source. The original version of 'Path' was edited and slightly remixed by DZX's own Ice Angel and Sephiroth X in order to make the song even more appropriate for its video source (Ice Angel adding an entire between chorus segment, whilst Sephiroth X made the finale sound more epic). The video itself chronicles FF7 Advent Children, focusing mainly on Cloud's path towards finding his own forgiveness through a trail by fire that brings back the past whilst protecting the planets future.

I've never been more dedicated towards any video than this. Period. I so badly wanted to make a respectable Advent Children video to honor what is in my opinion the best video game story ever told, and also to honor my friend Ice Angel whom originally created such an epic video concept in the first place. The style of this video goes back to what I call my AMV 'roots' of great timing effects and well placed special effects. As I replay this video I honestly feel like it recaptures the epic feel Advent Children had, and I honestly deem this probably my most favorite piece of work I have yet made. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Originally released in 2002, Hold So Dear displayed the remarkable thought of Archangel Zero.  Even though it was created early in his career with Movie Maker, it displayed so much emotion and attentive planning.  When time came for me to recreate his vision, I knew it would be a careful process to amplify the emotion and flow.  In fact, majority of my work time involved capturing every aspect of the original.  Ranging from one to five, the video track depth reflects a dream-like state of mind.  You will not see everything that happens on screen....but pay attention to how they combine together.  The extra download above is a side-by-side comparison of the original.  You will be amazed how much I kept of the original, yet amplified all emotions found within. For more analysis, visit the post on the AnimeMusicVideos.org website.

I dont know how else to describe it except this. I made this whilst on a caffene rush in the middle of my programming class. All of the images were made in good ol' Paint ^_^. It chronicles, in a very humerous fashion, the history of DZX Productions itself and some of the fun inside jokes surrounding it.

Although brief, crazy, funny, and quite frankly stupid at times... in some way it actually does to DZX justice...

This is a very sad story about a kitten.  For some reason, piano pieces usually remind me of cats.  The D.N.Angel piece touched my heart, and I felt it really needed a visual story to go with it.  I imagined many, many scenarios, but none were poignant enough.  Then, as I was listening to it yet again, this one drew itself in my mind and tears instantly filled my eyes once more.  That was all it took for me to start immediately.  For a week and a day, I seldom paused until it was completed, even though I was really ill most of that time.  According to the members of DZX, this AMV creates an innovative and new approach to video editing.

Author's Notes
No existing anime I've seen could have the right impact or tell my intended story, so I had to create the visuals myself.  The style is minimalistic so the viewer sees just what needs to be seen - no more, no less.  I also wanted it to flow with the rhythm, so every note and beat has meaning in symmetry with the story.  I hope you enjoy it, but have tissues handy though... it has made many people cry.
